I’ve been brainstorming with people about t-shirt ideas, because we need to raise some money for the website and associated projects. Another reason is that people often come up to me at speaking events asking for t-shirts and I feel kind of bad when they’re stuck talking to me because I don’t have anything to sell. (Suckers!).
Little did I know, however, that the lack of t-shirts on this subject is becoming a global crisis. A friend did a Google image search for “eco-terrorism” and “t-shirt” and came up with this photo of Uma Thurman. I’m not kidding. Try for yourself. And you know what? She doesn’t even have a t-shirt! Or two good arms! That’s how bad this problem is, folks. We need your help!
So, submit your t-shirt ideas either in the comment section or via email (will /at/ willpotter.com). We’re looking for something that folks would actually want to wear (I included this image of Daniel McGowan’s t-shirt design, which is quite dapper). The challenge is that the message isn’t a short soundbite: we need to find a way to get across, quickly and simply, that activists aren’t “terrorists.” What do you think?
